Mr.
Mullins earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in
Health and Physical Education from East
Tennessee State in 1984. He received his
Master of Arts Degree in Educational
Administration from Virginia Polytechnic
Institute and State University in 1993. Mr.
Mullins began his professional career in 1984 as
a physical education teacher at Garden
Elementary School in Oakwood, Virginia. In
1985, he was employed as a physical education
teacher at Clintwood Elementary School and
remained in that position for the next twelve
years. In 1997, Mr. Mullins became the
assistant principal at Pound High School and was
named the principal in 2002. In 2006, he became
Director of Transportation and Maintenance for
Wise County Schools. In 2009, he was appointed
Director of Secondary Education.
