On April 26, 2010, the Board passed the
following motion to proceed with the plan of consolidation.
In order to increase the efficiency of the Wise County
School Division, to provide a stronger curriculum, to
enhance the instructional program, and to offer better
educational services to the students of Wise County I make
the motion to consolidate the Wise County School Division's
high schools into the model as described by the
Superintendent under Option 8 of this Board packet. I
further direct the superintendent to advertise for a public
hearing on May 24, 2010, to solicit feedback from the various
communities on this plan. |
