Appalachia Elementary was opened in 1976 and continues to serve the educational needs of the community. AES campus is located on Kent Junction Road on the former site of the old Kelly View School. When the current building was built the old school was moved behind the AES building. It still stands today reminding us of the days of the old one room schools. Students from time to time get to tour the old school and see what it would have been like going to school in a one room school. ![]() |
