Virginia WebQuest

 

Your group has been hired as tour guides for the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Before you begin, you must know some important information about our state. 

 

Directions:

 

I.       Choose a name for your group.

 

II.      Choose someone from the group to fill the following positions:

 

             Researcher

          Creative Consultant

          Layout Editor

 

III.    Carefully read each task below and choose ONE to complete.  Each group will present their project to the class.

 

1.                Research the state symbols of Virginia and develop a flyer describing at least 3 of these symbols or create the symbols from materials in the classroom or brought from home.

2.                Research the history of Virginia and write a newspaper article highlighting at least 3 important events or write and perform a skit depicting the historical events.

3.                Research the regions of the state and present them in a slide show or on a poster board.

IV.    After completing your project, explore the topics you did not choose to expand your knowledge of Virginia.  Each group will be asked questions concerning all areas.  Be prepared!!
