Mr. Stephen Bonney

Principal
|
Mr. Bonney earned a Bachelor’s degree from
Clinch Valley College and received his Master’s degree in
Administration from Virginia Tech. He has also completed
graduate work at Old Dominion University and The University of
Virginia. Mr. Bonney began his administrative career at J.W.
Adams in 2006 as assistant principal. His previous assignment
was as principal at Powell Valley Middle School. He has also
worked in the Norton City and Tazewell County school divisions.
Mr. Bonney is excited about returning to Pound and welcomes the
students, parents, and community to stop by and visit.

Mr. Robert Collins

Assistant Principal
| Mr. Collins comes to J. W. Adams from Powell Valley Middle
School with nineteen years of teaching experience. He graduated
from Clinch Valley College (UVA-Wise) in 1988. He received his
Master’s from Radford University in 2003. Mr. Collins currently
resides in Big Stone Gap with his wife, April and their three
children Cody, Emily, and Joseph. In his spare time, he enjoys
gardening and spending time with his family. Mr. Collins enjoys
working with the faculty, students, and parents of J.W. Adams. |
