| FAVORITE THING ABOUT TEACHING | I like watching students' faces when thy finally "get" some concept and their enjoyment in something well done. I also enjoy reading and like to influence students' attitudes toward literature and reading. |
| REASON FOR BECOMING A TEACHER | My family was very close to a family that had a mentally handicapped child the same age as I. We were involved in many family activities together, and I observed the difficulties she had learning many things. These experiences jump-started my interest in how people learn. The natural progression was to become a teacher. |
| WHO IS YOUR ROLE MODEL AND WHY | My mother is my role model because she has infinite patience. She also has a strong, independent, self-sufficient personality and I would like to think I do as well. I would also like my daughter to adopt those qualities. |
| WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES | I enjoy reading, playing with my daughter, traveling anywhere I can, and of course shopping. |
